MPW Industrial Services today announced the finalization of a 10-year, $20 million contract with PBF Energy.
MPW is providing industrial water services to PBF’s oil refinery in Chalmette, Louisiana. MPW has assigned five full-time employees to the site, with a minimum of one employee at the Chalmette Refinery at all times.
MPW will utilize equipment including Lamella clarifiers, pressure filters, reverse osmosis containers, softeners and a mobile lab to ensure the refinery has access to filtered water and softened water, which are necessary for several PBF processes. MPW will also manage its own piping and electrical, installation, startup, testing and training.
“We are proud that our track record of innovation and customer service helped to secure this new partnership with PBF Energy,” said Tim Dondero, general manager of MPW’s Industrial Water Division.
PBF’s Chalmette Refinery is a 189,000-barrel-per-day, dual-train coking refinery capable of processing both light and heavy crude oil. The facility is strategically positioned on the Gulf Coast with strong logistics connectivity that offers flexible raw material sourcing and product distribution opportunities, including the potential to export products. The Chalmette Refinery processes a variety of crude oils and predominantly produces gasoline, distillates and specialty chemicals. The refinery distributes its products locally and exports to domestic and international markets through pipeline and maritime assets.
