MPW will proudly accept Toyota’s Cost Improvement Excellence Award, which recognizes those who have achieved outstanding results in cost reduction and efficiency within the Toyota organization. Toyota Motor North America, Inc. presents the award based on an individual or team’s ability to identify and implement cost savings opportunities, as well as their commitment to excellence.
MPW and its team at the TMMK Toyota plant—based in Georgetown, Kentucky—will be recognized at TMNA Purchasing Supplier Development’s virtual Annual Business Meeting (ABM) on May 22, 2024, and awards will be presented at an Awards Dinner and Ceremony on Monday, June 3.
Toyota annually reviews the scope of every contractor and then requires the contractor to find cost savings within that scope. Managing cost and reducing the impact on the customer on an annual basis opens the door for additional opportunities within the plant, allowing MPW to grow its revenue and attract more jobs.
Senior Account Manager D.C. Griffith and the MPW team at Toyota consistently evaluate unit pricing costs and project activity to identify kaizens and cost savings to both MPW and Toyota. MPW has been presented this award three of the last five years.
