The Industrial Services warehouse team assembled a team of volunteers to clean up a five-mile stretch of the bike path in Hebron near Lakewood High School. The team met with Hebron Parks and Recreation, Heath City PD, and the Mayor’s office before setting to work. Once approved, the team had shirts made to offer visibility and safety during the cleanup and to display the MPW brand. The shirts were also a token of appreciation for the team.
The team met at Lakewood High School early in the morning and after all the personal protective equipment was distributed and a game plan was set they began cleaning northward. The goal for the day was to gather as much trash as possible and recycle whenever possible. The team concluded the cleanup at Heath High School five miles from where the team started at Lakewood High School.
The team gathered everything from clothing to canvas awnings, collecting five large bags of trash. The bike path was chosen to clean because it doesn’t have regular trash pickup. The team’s goal was not only to improve the community but also to rise to a challenge as Team MPW.
The team’s dedication was awesome, performing at high standards for MPW and the community. MPW allowing employees to volunteer in the community is part of what makes the company great. In the coming years the team will search for new ways to volunteer for the wonderful community we all call home and encourage other members of Team MPW to do the same for their communities.
