Surface Preparation

MPW's UHP 40K p.s.i.waterjet technology offers several distinct advantages for surface preparation and weld seam inspection. Ultra-High Pressure waterjet technology reduces the need for a secondary finish and surfaces are left with a high quality finish which conventional cleaning methods such as sandblasting, flapper wheel and grinding can't produce.

Boiler Striping

MPW's UHP Boiler Striping technology uses less than 3 gpm of water to remove the most adherent scale from boiler tube surfaces without degradation or metallurgical damage. MPW's team of in-house engineers and fabricators develop customized tooling to work in tandem with 40K p.s.i. waterjet technology to prepare water wall tubes for inspection, cleaning the tube surface to bare white metal. The striping process preps the boiler tube for Non-Destructive Testing and overlay welding. Due to the wet environment inherent in the technology, there are no lingering airborne contaminants as associated with sand blasting. Other trades can work simultaneously in the boiler area eliminating costly downtime. These innovations have enabled MPW to bring unparalleled value and savings to its power generation customers.

Hydromowing

MPW's UHP hydromowing removal and vacuum recovery process combines Ultra-High Pressure technology to effectively remove the most stubborn coating abatements on horizontal and vertical surfaces. MPW's hydromowers simultaneously collect debris and effluent while regulating water flow. Adhesives, grease, paint, rubber and tar are effortlessly removed. UHP hydromowing delivers a high-pressure water force to remove coatings without surface degradation and harsh chemicals and solvents. Safety and environmental issues are enhanced, when flying debris and effluent associated with conventional handgun methods are contained. MPW's hydromowing technology is useful in a variety of industries including municipal aquatic centers, automotive paint booths and manufacturing warehouse floors.

Cold Cutting

MPW's Ultra-High Pressure waterjet cutting technology delivers surgical precision cutting through alloyed construction materials, concrete, steel, high-strength ceramics and composites. Automated tracking systems can be controlled at a safe distance, adjusting the nozzle for various cutting patterns.

MPW's UHP cold cutting technology is safely performed in potentially explosive areas where conventional cutting cannot be tolerated. The abrasive waterjet system eliminates heat build-up, which causes thermal distortion and change in metallurgy. The cutting process creates no dust, vapor, gas, slag, thermal or mechanical stress.
