Health / Safety
MPW is the health and safety leader among industrial service providers. Our "Commitment to Safety" ensures that our job sites are safe and healthy. MPW's proactive,
comprehensive health and safety process is based on integrated management
systems and results in continuous improvement.
A network of Safety Improvement Committees has been established to guide the
process by ensuring compliance with internal job safety policies and procedures,
community standards, and regulatory requirements. MPW has held an average
three year EMR rating of well below 1.00. Safety is a core value and is pervasive
on all industrial service projects. Before we begin work at a job site, an
MPW Health and Safety professional and/or project manager will perform a Job
Safety Analysis, followed by a tailgate safety meeting for all MPW employees.
MPW believes training is a key element of any "Best in Class" safety program. Employees who
perform industrial cleaning services receive a minimum of 30 hours of hands-on
and classroom training. Each employee studies the basics of Safety Awareness,
our Health and Safety process, OSHA Standards, and operation of industrial
service equipment. Supervisors attend an additional course on Health & Safety
management.
Every MPW employee formally pledges to uphold MPW Health and Safety
standards by signing a "Personal Commitment to Health and Safety" to assure job site safety, support and advance a positive safety culture, and ensure the best safety performance record in the industry. Employees receive
a medical screening and a drug screen before employment. We believe in maintaining
a safe and drug-free work environment. For more information on MPW's safety program, contact us today.
